Part 2: Hard & Snappy Snare

Here is my second video - In it, I will be creating a snare to go with our kick!

The most important element to achieving a punchy and powerful snare hit is the EQing. The reason for this is that you need to layer at very least 2 snare sounds to get the thickness required for the punch. EQ is essential to make these sounds sit together without becomming too messy.

In this video I will show you some great techniques for EQing layered snares as well as compression, parallel compression, parallel reverb and some other techniques.
